At Hurley Equestrian, we emphasize on teaching horsemanship and a proper foundation in the basics to attain the goals of both horse and rider. Learning to be a team with your horse to accomplish your goals is the most valuable lesson a horse can teach us, no matter what age you are.
Owner- Head Trainer
Courtney has an excellent eye and talent for finding the right horse for each individual rider. Her years of riding, teaching and training has taught her what it means and what is necessary to be at your best in and out of the show arena. At Hurley Equestrian, Courtney uses a consistent training program for both horse and rider to keep her students and horses advancing and improving to be at the top of their game in competitions. In addition to her training business, Courtney keeps a strong sales program with horses and ponies for all levels of hunters, equitation and jumpers. Whether it's your first horse or ready to move up to the next level horse, Courtney can find the horse or pony for you.
Caitlin began riding when she was 9 years old under the training of the late Rosey Reed. This practical and educational opportunity inspired her to one day become a professional horseman. Caitlin has had the privilege of working as a rider and manager for programs such as Archie Cox of Brookway Stables, Meadow Grove Farm (Dick Carvin, Francie Steinwedell, Susie Schroer, Zazou Hoffman) and Amateur Lindsay Maxwell. She is now based back in Southern California with Hurley Equestrian as an assistant trainer and rider while pursing her USEF jumper judge license from the encouragement of Archie Cox.
